Despite being called a stone, Baltic amber is actually a fossilized resin from 50 million-year-old trees, which comes from a wide variety of pine trees (the pinus succinites) that disappeared thousands of years ago from the earth's surface.
But what makes Baltic amber truly loved around the world is a substance – called succinic acid – which, in contact with the heat of the skin, is able to act in the therapeutic process, as well as acting in the fight against inflammation and improvements in the immune system. .
One of the great reasons mothers like the effects of Baltic amber so much is that succinic acid acts as a powerful neuromuscular relaxant, as well as having analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. It is often used to relieve baby's toothaches and lower fevers.
To obtain the therapeutic benefits, Amber must be in direct and continuous contact with the skin – as long as possible. Collars must be worn under a shirt, anklets under trousers, etc.
