Called lung ta or wind horses, these flags are placed in temples and homes, but also in the mountains, in trees or other places of devotion. They will gradually fray with the weather and the wind, thus representing the fragility and impermanence of the existence of human life and all things. They have five colors that symbolize the five elements, the five families of Buddha and the five directions: Blue (Space), White (Water), Red (Fire), Green (Air) and Yellow (Earth).
These flags are of great benefit to all, prayers flying around the world with the wind.
