The mandala (Sanskrit: मण्डल for circle) is a generic term from Tibetan art and Tibetan Buddhism for a plan, map or geometric pattern that metaphysically or symbolically depicts the cosmos. The concept has Hindu origins, but is also widely used in Tibetan Buddhism. It's an awesome and meaningful gift.
Ohm – Om – Aum is the first sound of creation, the breath that accompanies the word. It does not belong to any language and existed before the first words were formed. Constant repetition leads to deep meditation. Ohm represents the three states of human beings: waking, dreaming and deep sleep. The Ohm mantra is the basis of many other mantras: Ohm mani padme hum, (I) honor the pearl in the lotus (wisdom); Ohm Shanti: (I) wish (you) holy peace.
As a talisman, the Aum / Ohm sign helps to find peace and tranquility within yourself. The sign will bring balance everywhere, wherever you hang it or place it.
